Kumbira 2011

Hi everyone! :) I would like to ask all of my supporters to please pray that my fellow classmates in CCA joining the Kumbira will place in the competition they joined in :) Please pray as well for their safety and that the Almighty Father may guide them throughout their short visit in the southern part of the Philippines. It will mean a lot to me. Their hard work will pay off--- stress, sleepless nights, fatigue, etc. :) Win or lose, they will always me winners to us fellow chef-students of CCA, Manila :) Thanks everyone! :)

*** BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KUMBIRA***

The Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) presents KUMBIRA 2011, a culinary festival featuring various food and beverage competitions, cooking demonstrations by experts in the food industry, and trade exhibits on Hotel and Restaurant Equipment, Supplies and Services.  

 It aims to promote healthy competition and camaraderie among the different hotels and restaurants, hotel and restaurant schools as well as, elevating the standards of the culinary industry in the region.  The event will also feature the various skills, artistry and creativeness of the food and beverage practitioners and students through competitions.

 Now on its 15^th year, COHARA’s KUMBIRA will again hold the MINDANAO CHEF WARS, a regional competition for professional and student teams to represent Mindanao in the CHEF WARS NATIONAL COMPETITION during the “FOOD SHOWDOWN 2011” in Makati City on September 17-18, 2011.  Food Showdown 2011 is a production of TV Food Chefs, a subsidiary of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation.
